So Mark’s world famous classes hit DC and the Washington Post finally got around to writing a review. A great review so no complaints. Hundreds of people have been calling today to get a space in Mark’s exclusive Sat and Sunday classes. The classes have a cult following beginning in 1993 in NYC. I remember walking the streets in NY in 2000 with Mark and we couldn’t get a 2 block radius without people stopping him to gush over how great his classes were, how they still use his teachings in their workouts and how cool he was and the music…they went on and on . So after not doing classes for over 8 years we bringing it back like the ’80s and ’90’s, like rare vintage, and like old school Hip Hop. (remember all those classic rock samples in Hop Hop back in the day)
Im from DC so being back here after almost 10 years things have changed but i still feel nostalgic. After sharing my memories (those are for a later post) with Mark he got misty himself remembering the great times of teaching class back in the 90’s. The class was perfect for solving the problem of time constraints and plus Mark could reach more people in an hour (actually the classes are 70 minutes) than in his infamously exclusive hour long sessions.
So was born The Jump Off Classes at Somafit Saturday at 8:30 and Sunday at 11:30. And due to popular demand adding a 3rd class, a Master Class at a soon to-be-announced location with a DJ or maybe even african drummers opening the class to the masses, well not quite but at least 25 people. Check back within the week and email contact@infitness.com with your email and/or phone number to get on the waiting I mean mailing list.
The music is Hot! The latest hits mixed in with some classics at just the right tempo to burn fat and build muscle at the same time. DJ Kasper is on the 1s and 2s! And the workout are modeled after the book by the same title The Jump Off: 60 Days to a Hip Hop Hard Body. Don’t take my word for it read the post review
